After three seasons in League One, Albion finished last and were automatically relegated. Joma have replaced Adidas as their technical partner. The team are playing in their usual yellow and red with an unnecessary black third kit.

After wearing the same Stanno kit since 2014, Annan have finally splashed out on new strips by Halbro, a small independent sportswear company specialising in bespoke designs as well as flamboyant catalogue templates. The Stanno outfits were worn in the early rounds of the Betfred Cup until the replacements arrived in mid-July. The red and black strip is Halbro's Viera design.

The "home" kit is unchanged apart from a new sponsor. The sponsorship raffle was won by St Andrews' Berwick Rangers Supporters Club who donated their prize to a local community project that collects unsold food and turns them into meals that are sold on a PAYF (pay-as-you-feel) basis.

Clyde have been canny here, ordering three sets of shirts but only two each of shorts and socks. These have then been mixed to produce three kits in their traditional colours.

Designer: Errea

Sponsor: Subsea Pressure Controls

The Blue Brazil had to negotiate the play-offs once again, beating Cove Rangers to retain their place in the SPFL. They have switched to Errea for the new season and are wearing their disarmingly named "Gareth" design. The woman's version is the "Greta."

City have found it tough since they won a place in the SPFL two years ago and they finished next to last in May. Perhaps a new look will help so we have an all-white first strip with sublimated fine stripes on the shirt (Joma's Tiger design) and a new crest. I understand the players like the new outfit but the jury is still out for supporters. The alternative is in anthracite and black while last season's yellow and black strip is now third choice.

Elgin have signed up with a new sportswear company after producing the kits in house for the last four seasons. While the first strip is fairly conventional the alternative is quite another matter.

After spending their 150th anniversary season in League One, the Spiders are back in the fourth tier having lost out in the play-offs. They are plaing in the famous hoops once again and have reinstated their red change strip. Both of these date back to 2013, a reflection of the Corinthian principles that guide this remarkable club that rejects the idea of commercial exploitation.
